POKEOUTPOST

Effective Date: 20 August 2026  |  Version 1.1

1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of PokeOutpost services, the PokeOutpost website, online store, card grading services, card certification and verification services, and the purchase and sale of trading cards and related products.

In these Terms:

  • "PokeOutpost", "we", "us" or "our" means PokeOutpost.

  • "Card" or "Cards" means trading cards submitted to or purchased from PokeOutpost.
  • "Grading Service" means our inspection, assessment, grading, encapsulation and/or certification of trading cards.
  • "Certificate" means a PokeOutpost certificate, label or certification number.
  • "Verification Service" means our online certificate and/or graded-card verification system.
  • "Website" means any website, online store or online platform operated by PokeOutpost.

By placing an order, submitting a Card, purchasing a Card, using our Website or otherwise using our services, you agree to these Terms, subject to any mandatory rights available to you under applicable law.

2. Our Services

PokeOutpost may provide:

  1. Trading card grading.
  2. Trading card inspection and condition assessment.
  3. Card encapsulation.
  4. PokeOutpost certification.
  5. Certificate numbering and verification.
  6. Online certificate lookup.
  7. Buying trading cards from customers.
  8. Selling trading cards to customers.
  9. Selling mystery packs and card products.
  10. Other trading-card-related services introduced from time to time.

Services may change or become temporarily unavailable. Where a change affects an existing accepted order or contract, PokeOutpost will deal with the matter in accordance with applicable law and the agreed contract.

3. Card Grading

3.1 Purpose of Grading

PokeOutpost grading is an assessment of a Card's condition and presentation using the PokeOutpost grading methodology and standards applicable at the time of assessment.

Assessment may include:

  • Centring
  • Corners
  • Edges
  • Surface
  • Print quality
  • Whitening
  • Scratches
  • Dents
  • Creases
  • Bends
  • Marks
  • Staining
  • Print defects
  • Factory defects
  • Other reasonably detectable characteristics

3.2 Professional Judgement

Grading involves professional judgement. Borderline Cards may reasonably receive different assessments from different graders or observers.

A PokeOutpost grade represents our assessment under our grading methodology and is not a guarantee of market value.

3.3 Market Value

A grade does not guarantee:

  • A particular monetary value
  • Future appreciation
  • Resale value
  • Auction value
  • Buyer demand
  • Acceptance by another grading company

4. Submission of Cards

Before submitting a Card, you should ensure that:

  • You own the Card or have authority to submit it.
  • The Card is correctly identified.
  • Information supplied to PokeOutpost is accurate.
  • The Card is securely packaged.
  • Required submission information is complete.

PokeOutpost is not responsible for problems caused by materially incorrect information supplied by the Customer.

5. Card Condition and Pre-Existing Damage

Cards may already contain scratches, dents, bends, creases, whitening, edge damage, corner damage, print defects, surface marks, moisture damage or other defects.

PokeOutpost will assess the Card in the condition in which it is received.

Photographic or digital records may be created for grading, quality control, verification, fraud prevention and dispute resolution.

6. Altered, Counterfeit or Suspicious Cards

PokeOutpost may refuse to grade or certify a Card where we reasonably believe it may be counterfeit, altered, trimmed, recoloured, restored, artificially enhanced, tampered with, resealed or otherwise manipulated.

PokeOutpost does not knowingly buy or sell counterfeit goods.

Where a Card is unsuitable for certification, applicable fees and the treatment of the Card will depend upon the circumstances and service purchased.

7. Grading Fees

Applicable fees will be shown or communicated before an order is accepted.

Depending on the service, fees may include:

  • Grading
  • Assessment
  • Encapsulation
  • Certification
  • Certificate generation
  • Packaging
  • Return processing

Prices may change for future orders. A price change will not retrospectively alter an accepted order unless otherwise agreed or required by law.

8. Turnaround Times

Unless expressly stated as guaranteed, turnaround times are estimates.

Delays may occur because of:

  • Submission volume
  • Postal delays
  • Technical problems
  • Equipment failure
  • Staffing issues
  • Unexpected circumstances
  • Card complexity
  • Events outside reasonable control

Where a guaranteed completion date has been expressly agreed, that agreement will apply subject to applicable law.

9. Return of Graded Cards

Completed Cards will normally be returned using the delivery method selected or agreed when the order is placed.

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate delivery address.

Customers should inspect the package and Card promptly after delivery and contact PokeOutpost as soon as reasonably possible if an issue is discovered.

Nothing in this section affects statutory consumer rights.

10. Packaging and Delivery to PokeOutpost

Customers sending Cards to PokeOutpost are responsible for packaging them appropriately unless PokeOutpost has agreed otherwise.

We recommend:

  • Protective sleeves
  • Semi-rigid holders or suitable protection
  • Secure outer packaging
  • Adequate padding
  • Tracked delivery
  • Appropriate insurance where available

Customers should retain proof of postage and tracking details.

11. Liability for Submitted Cards

PokeOutpost will take reasonable care of Cards while they are in our possession.

If a Card is lost or damaged while in PokeOutpost's possession, any responsibility or remedy will be determined in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability which cannot legally be excluded or limited.

12. Encapsulation

Where included, PokeOutpost may place the Card into a protective holder with a grading label and certification information.

Encapsulation is intended to protect the Card but cannot guarantee protection against future damage, impact, moisture, environmental conditions, UV exposure, improper storage or tampering.

13. PokeOutpost Grades and Certificates

A graded Card may receive a unique PokeOutpost certification number.

A certificate record may contain:

  • Card identification
  • Grade
  • Certificate number
  • Issue date
  • Grading information
  • Verification status
  • Other relevant information

Certificate numbers are assigned by PokeOutpost and may not be copied, duplicated or transferred without authorisation.

14. Certificate Verification

Where available, customers may use a certificate number to check whether it corresponds with PokeOutpost records.

Verification does not by itself guarantee:

  • Current ownership
  • Market value
  • Condition after certification
  • Integrity of a holder that has been tampered with
  • Future grading results

A certificate may be placed under review or marked invalid where evidence indicates fraud or tampering.

15. Certificate Fraud and Tampering

Certificate numbers, labels and holders must not be copied, altered, reproduced, transferred between Cards or used to mislead another person.

Where we reasonably believe fraudulent activity has occurred, PokeOutpost may investigate and suspend or invalidate the relevant certificate record.

16. Buying Cards From Customers

Where PokeOutpost offers to purchase Cards, the offer may consider condition, authenticity, market conditions, rarity, demand, current prices, grading, edition, language and other relevant factors.

A transaction becomes binding when accepted through the agreed purchasing process.

If a Card is subsequently found to be counterfeit, stolen or materially misrepresented, PokeOutpost may take appropriate action and seek any remedy available under law.

17. Selling Cards to Customers

Product descriptions, photographs, prices and other information displayed at the point of sale form part of the relevant transaction.

Cards may be sold as:

  • Raw/ungraded
  • PokeOutpost graded
  • Graded by another grading company
  • Part of a pack or mystery product

We aim to describe Cards accurately and honestly.

Nothing in these Terms removes or restricts statutory rights relating to goods which are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet applicable legal requirements.

18. Mystery Packs and Packaged Products

Mystery products may contain varying Cards and contents.

Unless specifically advertised, PokeOutpost does not guarantee a particular Card, rarity or monetary value.

Any advertised minimum contents or characteristics will be honoured.

19. Online Orders

Before completing an online order, customers will be provided with relevant information about the goods or services, applicable price, payment, delivery and other information required by law.

Customers should check their order carefully before placing it.

An order may not be accepted where a product is unavailable, an obvious pricing or listing error has occurred, payment cannot be authorised, or another legitimate reason prevents fulfilment.

Where an order cannot be fulfilled after payment has been received, PokeOutpost will deal with the payment in accordance with applicable law.

20. Cancellation Rights

Qualifying consumer distance contracts generally carry a statutory cancellation period. These rights do not apply in every circumstance and certain statutory exceptions may apply.

Where a statutory cancellation right applies to an online purchase, customers may normally cancel without giving a reason within the applicable cancellation period.

The applicable cancellation period, procedure and any exceptions will be communicated as required by law.

Customers wishing to cancel should contact PokeOutpost using the published contact details and clearly state that they wish to cancel.

21. Grading Service Cancellation

Grading is a service. Where a Customer has a statutory cancellation right, the Customer may exercise that right subject to applicable law.

If a Customer specifically requests that a grading service begins during an applicable cancellation period, PokeOutpost may request the legally required acknowledgement that the service is to begin before the cancellation period expires.

Where the law permits a charge for services already supplied before cancellation, any such charge will be calculated and applied only as permitted by law.

Where a statutory exception removes a cancellation right, the Customer will be informed where required.

22. Refunds

Where a refund is legally required, PokeOutpost will process it within the applicable legal timeframe and normally using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed or permitted.

For qualifying cancelled distance sales, statutory rules may require the refund of standard delivery charges. Additional delivery charges selected by the Customer may be treated differently where permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms removes any refund rights available under consumer law.

23. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods

If goods supplied by PokeOutpost are faulty, not as described, not of satisfactory quality or otherwise fail to meet applicable legal requirements, customers may have statutory remedies.

Depending on the circumstances, remedies may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

PokeOutpost will not attempt to exclude statutory consumer rights through these Terms.

24. Delivery of Purchased Goods

Delivery options, costs and estimated delivery times will be shown or communicated before an online order is completed.

Unless a different period has been agreed, applicable law may require goods to be delivered within the relevant statutory timeframe.

Delivery estimates are not guarantees unless expressly stated as such.

25. Failed or Returned Deliveries

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

If a parcel is returned because an address was incorrect, incomplete or delivery could not reasonably be completed, PokeOutpost may contact the Customer to arrange redelivery.

Any additional delivery charges will only be requested where permitted by law and fairly reflect the relevant additional cost.

26. Complaints

Customers should contact PokeOutpost if they believe there has been a problem with a product, grading service, submission, delivery or certificate.

Useful information may include:

  • Order number
  • Certificate number
  • Photographs
  • Description of the issue
  • Date of purchase or submission
  • Supporting evidence

Complaints will be reviewed fairly and investigated where appropriate.

27. Grading Disputes and Reviews

Customers who disagree with a grade may contact PokeOutpost to request a review where a review service is available.

A review may:

  • Confirm the original grade
  • Increase the grade
  • Decrease the grade
  • Require further inspection

Any review fee will be communicated before the review is undertaken.

A review does not guarantee a change in grade.

28. Website Use

The Website may only be used for lawful purposes.

You must not:

  • Attempt unauthorised access
  • Interfere with Website security
  • Introduce malicious software
  • Copy protected content without permission
  • Misuse certificate information
  • Impersonate PokeOutpost
  • Submit fraudulent information
  • Use the Website unlawfully

29. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, PokeOutpost owns or has appropriate rights to use its name, branding, logos, certificate designs, labels, Website content, graphics, photographs, documentation, database structures and certificate numbering systems.

These materials must not be copied, reproduced or commercially exploited without permission.

30. Photographs and Records

PokeOutpost may photograph Cards and create records for:

  • Grading records
  • Certificate records
  • Quality control
  • Verification
  • Dispute resolution
  • Fraud prevention
  • Internal business records

Personal data will be handled in accordance with the PokeOutpost Privacy Notice and applicable data-protection law.

31. Personal Data

PokeOutpost may process information necessary to provide products and services, including:

  • Name
  • Contact details
  • Delivery address
  • Order information
  • Payment information
  • Certificate information
  • Customer communications

Further information is provided in the PokeOutpost Privacy Notice.

32. Payment

Payment must be made using an available payment method.

Where payment in advance is required, an order or service may not begin until payment has been successfully authorised.

Payment-card information may be processed by payment providers used by PokeOutpost. PokeOutpost will not knowingly retain payment information beyond what is necessary and permitted for the relevant payment process.

33. Prohibited Activities

Customers must not use PokeOutpost services to facilitate:

  • Fraud
  • Theft
  • Counterfeit goods
  • Money laundering
  • Deceptive trading
  • Certificate fraud
  • Identity fraud
  • Other unlawful activity

PokeOutpost may refuse or suspend a transaction where there are reasonable grounds for concern, subject to applicable law.

34. Chargebacks and Payment Fraud

Customers must not make fraudulent payment disputes or chargebacks where the underlying transaction was authorised and the goods or services were properly supplied.

Where PokeOutpost reasonably believes a payment has been obtained fraudulently or a transaction is being abused, appropriate action may be taken.

Nothing in this section prevents a Customer from exercising a genuine statutory or contractual payment dispute right.

35. Ownership of Submitted Cards

Unless a separate purchase agreement states otherwise, ownership of a Card submitted for grading remains with the Customer.

Submission for grading does not transfer ownership of the Card to PokeOutpost.

Where PokeOutpost purchases a Card from a Customer, ownership will transfer in accordance with the agreed purchase transaction.

36. Unclaimed or Undeliverable Cards

If a completed Card cannot be delivered because of an incorrect address, failed delivery, refusal or another issue, PokeOutpost may contact the Customer to arrange a solution.

Customers should keep their contact and delivery information up to date.

PokeOutpost will not simply treat a Customer's Card as its own because delivery has failed. Any further action will be taken in accordance with applicable law and the circumstances.

37. Age Requirements

Customers should generally be aged 18 or over when entering into contracts with PokeOutpost.

Where a person under 18 wishes to use a service, PokeOutpost may require a parent or legal guardian to place the order, provide consent or otherwise act on their behalf.

Any age-related requirement will be applied consistently with applicable law.

This section does not remove or restrict statutory rights, including rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods or services that must be performed with reasonable care and skill.

The version applicable to an existing order will generally be the version in force when the relevant contract was entered into, unless a change is required by law or otherwise agreed.

The latest version will be made available through the PokeOutpost Website.

42. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, it will be treated as modified or removed only to the extent necessary.

The remaining provisions will continue to apply.

43. No Waiver

If PokeOutpost does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms, this does not mean that we have waived our right to enforce it later.

44. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the relevant product description, service description, order information and any specific written agreement between PokeOutpost and the Customer, describe the agreement applicable to the relevant purchase or service.

Nothing in this section removes or restricts rights arising under applicable consumer law.

45. Governing Law

Where a provision of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory legal right, the mandatory legal right will apply.

PokeOutpost intends these Terms to operate alongside applicable UK consumer protection legislation.

48. Fair and Transparent Terms
