PokeOutpost Customer Purchase Terms

Terms and Conditions for selling your Pokémon and trading card products to PokeOutpost.

1. About Our Purchasing Service

PokeOutpost purchases selected Pokémon and other trading card products directly from customers.

We may purchase:

  • Individual trading cards
  • Collections
  • Sealed Pokémon products
  • Other TCG products
  • Graded cards
  • Approved accessories or related products

We are under no obligation to purchase any Item submitted to us and reserve the right to refuse any Item or collection.

2. Seller Eligibility

You must be legally entitled to sell the Items you submit to PokeOutpost.

  • You are the legal owner of the Items.
  • You have authority to sell the Items.
  • The Items have not been stolen.
  • The Items have not been fraudulently obtained.
  • You are not knowingly selling counterfeit Items.
  • The information you provide is accurate.

We may request proof of identity, ownership or additional information before completing a purchase.

3. Age Requirements

Customers must be 18 years of age or older to sell Items to PokeOutpost unless we have expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

We may request proof of age or identity.

4. Submitting Items for Valuation

Submitting Items to PokeOutpost does not automatically mean that we have agreed to purchase them.

Our valuation may consider:

  • Condition
  • Authenticity
  • Current market value
  • Demand
  • Set and card number
  • Language
  • Edition or printing
  • Rarity
  • Sealed or unsealed status
  • Current stock levels
  • Expected resale value

5. Offers

Any purchase offer made by PokeOutpost is subject to the conditions stated in the offer.

You are not required to accept an offer.

If you accept our offer, you agree to sell the agreed Items to PokeOutpost for the agreed purchase price, subject to these Terms.

6. Inspection and Verification

Items may be inspected before a purchase is completed.

  • Authenticity
  • Condition
  • Surface
  • Corners
  • Edges
  • Centreing
  • Printing
  • Packaging and seals
  • Signs of alteration
  • Signs of counterfeit production
  • Damage

7. Counterfeit or Suspected Counterfeit Items

PokeOutpost does not knowingly purchase counterfeit Items.

If an Item is suspected to be counterfeit, altered or fraudulent, we may refuse to purchase it and may take any other action permitted by law.

8. Condition of Items

You must provide accurate information about the condition of Items.

You should disclose any known:

  • Damage
  • Creases
  • Bends
  • Scratches
  • Water damage
  • Edge damage
  • Surface damage
  • Alterations
  • Repairs
  • Cleaning
  • Recolouring
  • Trimming

9. Shipping Items to PokeOutpost

If you are required to send Items to PokeOutpost, you are responsible for packaging them appropriately unless otherwise agreed.

  • Use suitable protective sleeves.
  • Use top loaders where appropriate.
  • Use suitable protective packaging.
  • Use secure mailing packaging.
  • Use tracked delivery where appropriate.
Important: You remain responsible for the Items until they have been received by PokeOutpost.

10. Items Received in Different Condition

If Items arrive in materially different condition from the condition described when the offer was made, PokeOutpost may reassess the purchase price.

Where applicable, you may accept or reject the revised offer.

11. Payment

Payment will be made using the payment method agreed between PokeOutpost and the customer.

Payment will normally be made after the Items have been received, inspected and verified where applicable.

12. Ownership of Purchased Items

Once the purchase has been completed and payment has been made, ownership of the purchased Items transfers to PokeOutpost, subject to applicable law.

PokeOutpost may subsequently resell, grade, trade, promote or otherwise deal with Items that it has legally purchased.

13. Misrepresentation

If you knowingly provide false, misleading or materially incomplete information about an Item, PokeOutpost reserves the right to take appropriate action permitted by law.

14. Collections

Collections may be valued as a whole or individual Items may be valued separately.

PokeOutpost is not required to purchase every Item within a collection.

15. Items Not Purchased

If PokeOutpost decides not to purchase an Item, we may offer to return it to you.

Where return delivery costs apply, these may be payable by the customer unless otherwise agreed.

16. No Guaranteed Valuation

Any initial estimate, online valuation or guide price is not a guaranteed purchase price.

Final offers may change following inspection and verification.

17. Photographs and Records

PokeOutpost may photograph or record Items during the assessment and purchasing process for condition records, authentication, internal records, dispute resolution and fraud prevention.

18. Fraud Prevention

PokeOutpost may carry out reasonable checks to prevent fraud, theft, money laundering and other unlawful activity.

We may request additional information or refuse a transaction where we have reasonable concerns about its legitimacy.

19. Customer Information

You agree to provide accurate information necessary to complete the transaction.

  • Full name
  • Contact details
  • Address
  • Payment information
  • Proof of identity where required

Personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.

20. Right to Refuse a Purchase

PokeOutpost reserves the right to refuse to purchase any Item or collection.

Reasons may include:

  • Counterfeit concerns
  • Condition
  • Low demand
  • Insufficient resale value
  • Suspected fraud
  • Suspected stolen property
  • Unable to verify authenticity
  • Items outside our purchasing criteria
  • Commercial reasons

21. Changes in Market Prices

Trading card prices can change rapidly. Offers are based on market conditions and information available at the time of the offer.

PokeOutpost is not responsible for subsequent changes in market value after a transaction has been completed.

22. Completed Purchases

Once a purchase has been completed, the transaction will generally be considered final.

This transaction is a purchase of goods from you by PokeOutpost, rather than a retail sale of goods to you.

Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any legal rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.

23. Disputes

If you believe there is an issue with a transaction, please contact PokeOutpost as soon as possible with your transaction reference and details of the issue.

We will review the matter and attempt to resolve it fairly.

24. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

Subject to applicable law, PokeOutpost will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control.

25. Events Outside Our Control

PokeOutpost will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

  • Postal or courier delays
  • Network failures
  • Payment provider issues
  • Power outages
  • Natural disasters
  • Government action
  • Security incidents
  • Other events beyond our reasonable control

26. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory legal rights that may apply.

27. Acceptance of These Terms

By submitting Items to PokeOutpost for purchase, accepting a purchase offer, or proceeding with a transaction after being provided with these Terms, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms.
